Quirky gardening

This year, for whatever reason, Daddy decided we’re going to have gardens, dammit. So we are having gardens. We planted herbs today and started alyssum seeds; we’ve already got food-type plants in the bigger of our two patches. I had to prune back some of the thyme; if I had to take a branch that had usable leaves, I stripped the leaves and popped them between layers of paper toweling for drying.

The cats discovered the catnip. Of course. I’m going to have to put cages over those two plants while they grow. 🙂

It is a weekend of contentment.
