dies irae

It all ties together.

The “defiant Requiem” in Terezín which was Schächter’s giant “Screw you” to the Nazis: “Your day is coming, too. Then we’re all going to count the same.” And a lifetime later —

those that reign got the masses in chains
and their minds enslaved
and that’s the part that makes me furious

— truth speaking to power with the knowledge that we are all in serious trouble —

time for action before the last trumpet sounds.

How can we be singing the same song so many years apart?

Remember. Not just today. Remember every day.

right now, right now, do what you gotta do.
